2D CNC offers Wele UA 2590 5-axis VMC

Wele says that the rigid, tilting head design of its UA 2590 5-axis vertical machining centre is able to maximise material removal with 4,950 Nm of torque available to the swivelling A-axis head complemented by 7,960 Nm in the rotational B-axis. Both axes of the machine, which is available from 2D CNC Machinery, offer ±40° of movement.

The table is supported by a Meehanite cast base carrying four hardened and ground boxway slide units, with the Y-axis travel powered via a dual drive feed system. As a result, rigidity is increased and the onset of vibration minimised under heavy machining or interrupted sequences, says Wele.

Axis strokes are 2,500 mm in X, 900 mm in Y and 700 mm in Z, with rapid traverse rates of 24 m/min in X and Y, and 18 m/min in Z. The 2,650 by 900 mm table will accept loads up to 2.5 tonnes.
