Zeiss and Mahle in global piston measurement agreement
Mahle GmbH, Stuttgart has signed a general agreement with Carl Zeiss Industrielle Messtechnik GmbH for piston measurement technology.
The agreement defines the Zeiss GageMax co-ordinate measuring machine as the standard machine for the measurement of pistons around the globe.
Successful tests have lead to the decision to use GageMax as a flexible gauge in production at all Mahle locations in Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Poland, the Americas and Asia instead of the current manual measuring tools.
