Yamazaki Mazak has scheduled a Spring Open House event due to customer demand for visits to its European Technology Centre and manufacturing plant.
Mazak will exhibit 17 different machine tools at its European Technology Centre, Worcester, on 14 and 15 May, including the Quick Turn 250 MSY lathe and the Variaxis i-600 multi-tasking machine, both of which are manufactured at the company's UK manufacturing facility.
A number of Mazak's machines will be performing live-cutting demonstrations throughout the day, including the Variaxis j-500 multi-tasking machine; Horizontal Center Nexus 4000-III machining centre; Hyper Quadrex 100 MSY CNC turning centre; and the Integrex e-670H II 5-axis machining centre.
Alongside its machine tools, Mazak will be showcasing its laser credentials, in the form of its Optiplex 3015 2D flying optics laser processing machine and the latest in machine safety technology demonstrated by a Vertical Center Smart 430A connected to a Svia robot cell.
Richard Smith, managing director UK & Ireland sales division for Yamazaki Mazak, said: "Mazak's Open House events are an excellent platform to highlight our complete range of machine tools. Over the past months, we have witnessed an increase in requests from our customers to visit our Worcester facility which has led us to schedule a Spring Open House to meet demand.
"The Spring Open House will have highly trained Mazak application support experts on hand to discuss our range of machine tools, and visitors will be able to enjoy factory tours of one of Europe's most advanced manufacturing plants."
