The move coincides with Mazak’s increasing robust laser sales across Europe, following the launch of two new machine series: the OPTIPLEX NEO and OPTIPLEX Ez.
The OPTIPLEX NEO series of high-performance machines deliver improved productivity and precision, the company said, while also providing best-in-class environmental performance to help users reduce factory emissions. The range also includes the FG-400 NEO, which is designed for the high-speed 3D cutting of long tube, pipe and structural material.
The OPTIPLEX 3015 Ez offers customers a user-friendly experience, affordability and improved performance. Designed for a large variety of materials and thicknesses, the machine delivers precision cutting, high mechanical rigidity and reliability. The machine is set to be unveiled to the Spanish market in partnership with IP Grupo at MetalMadrid, on 20-21 November.
Mazak said that it sees Spain as a key market for the company as a whole, as it already has a longstanding CNC machine tool representative for the region, Intermaher.
In a statement, Alan Mucklow, managing director UK, Eire and National Distributors at Yamazaki Mazak, said: “Spain is of significant strategic importance for our European business. Given the size of the sheet metal and tube cutting market within the region, we needed a trusted representative with an extensive network of end-users, as well as third parties such as automation suppliers.
“With a reference market position in the market and an extensive service structure with two parts locations around Spain, IP Grupo has excellent credentials and we are looking forward to a fruitful and long-lasting partnership.”
