WNT (UK) ups the ante on delivery guarantees

WNT (UK) is now guaranteeing that any order placed before 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday will be subject to a guaranteed delivery before 10:30 am the next working day for all catalogue items.

Customers can also expect delivery before 9:00 am on Saturday for Friday orders, and 9:00 am Monday for all orders placed before 12:30 pm on Saturday for stock held in WNT (UK)’s Sheffield warehouse with a £10.00 credit being offered if WNT (UK) fails to meet its promise. “One of the major factors in our increase in business during 2008 was put down to the level of service that we are able to offer at no cost to our customers,” said Tony Pennington, WNT (UK) managing director. “It is therefore logical that we continue to develop this area of our business and make improvements where and when we can. “In discussions with our logistics partners UPS and Royal Mail, we recognised that we could enhance the delivery service without the need to charge customers for the added benefits. We are confident that being able to deliver cutting tools to customers by 9:00 am in some cases will be a major advantage to our customers’ and our business during the current economic climate.” In addition to the new delivery promises, WNT (UK) has also upgraded its in-house quotation service for non-standard items. Customers requiring prices for non-standard catalogue items will now receive same-day quotations on price and delivery, further streamlining the buying process. “We appreciate that it can sometimes be frustrating for customers having to wait for prices and delivery on non-standard items, especially if they are being pressured to quote for work by their customers,” said Mr Pennington. “Therefore, we have given our four technical engineers, who are available to answer calls at our Sheffield office six-days a week, the tools they need to be able to respond to these enquiries, often within an hour of receiving the call.”
