A team of 38 employees from WNT (UK) is aiming to raise money for the British Heart Foundation, when in embarks on a three-day, off-road cycle ride between London and Paris on 29 June.
Organised by the British Heart Foundation, this ride is the only one of its kind that goes from capital to capital completely off-road. The WNT team is training hard for three punishing days of the 186 miles (300 km) ride, which starts at Kempton Park Racecourse, Surrey, and ends at the Palace of Versailles. The route includes a variety of terrain, including some slow climbs and some fast descents.
"We have done some amazing things as a team to raise money for charity over the years, including white water rafting and cycling from coast to coast, but this is the first time that we have had such a large number of staff taking part in the same event," says Tony Pennington, managing director, WNT (UK). "This will be quite a challenge, but, regardless of events along the way, we are setting off as a team and we will finish as a team, hopefully raising a significant amount for the British Heart Foundation along the way."
