Waterjet cutting service introduced
James Walker & Co has introduced a new high speed abrasive waterjet cutting service following the installation of a Calypso system at its Cockermouth custom gasket site.
The new waterjet system offers burr-free cold cutting in materials up to 100 mm thick. Metals that can be processed include aluminium, brass, copper, plus carbon, alloy and stainless steels, together with titanium and specialist alloys. Soft materials such as rubber carbon fibre composites, laminates and graphite can also be worked.
