Water Jet Sweden to more than double output capacity
Water Jet Sweden is to more than double its output capacity with the start-up in August of a second plant and a new showroom alongside the existing facility at Ronneby, southern Sweden.
Production of the new plant will exceed that of the existing plant as a result of the introduction of new, more advanced manufacturing technology.
The company saw record growth of more than 50 per cent in 2005 over 2004, resulting in a 20 per cent increase in personnel.
The establishment of two new subsidiary companies in Europe has helped - Water Jet Sweden UK in 2003 and Water Jet Polska in Poland in 2005.
Market penetration in the UK has been "spectacular" with the subsidiary already having had to relocate from its first facility in Boston Spa to newly-built, more spacious premises in Wetherby, North Yorkshire.
