The company has added to its team of 16 service engineers and three application engineers with the internal promotion of Jason Kahler to the position of technical support engineer. Kahler, who has spent over 32 years at Ward CNC, starting as a mechanical engineering apprentice, has undertaken various roles in the company, including 18 years in his most recent position as a senior engineering technician. Among primary responsibilities in his new role will be to provide technical support to customers and colleagues.
Ward CNC’s head of technical engineering, Mario De Vito, says: “Speaking on behalf of the whole team at Ward CNC, we are delighted that Jason has taken this opportunity, as he will not only be the first point of contact for engineering queries from customers, but will add great value across the business with all other technical engineering issues. Given Jason’s apprentice-trained background and his many years of experience at Ward CNC, he was always a front runner for the position and will continue to be a great asset for the company.”
De Vito, who himself has over 38 years of CNC machine tool experience and heads up the technical support team, adds: “Jason is the first appointment in the new technical support team, and with his expertise already on-board, we are in a prime position to expand the team further. The next phase is to appoint an additional technical support engineer with a strong electrical background to supplement Jason’s mechanical expertise.”
