Tooling supplier Walter GB has made two newly-created strategic staff appointments, it has been announced.

Maria Martin (right) has been appointed as the channel manager for the company’s distribution network and Lorraine Daley (below) has been appointed to the role of UK marketing.

Martin brings more than ten years’ senior management experience, joining the company after spending the latter six years as UK business development manager in the tooling sector. Meanwhile, Daley joins Walter GB after eight years with a major tooling supplier, including three years’ involvement in strategic marketing campaigns.

The appointments come as part of the firms’ continual process to offer an improved customer-facing operation across all aspects of its business.

Says Walter GB managing director Ashley Battison: “In an ever-more competitive industrial arena, it is clear that the supply of world-class products alone is not enough to enable companies – and, importantly, their customers, too - to thrive.

“We are already leading the way in having an unrivalled UK-wide network of technical sales engineers and distributors who are underpinned by Walter’s renowned Engineering Kompetenz back-up and applications engineering services, for example.

“Our two recent appointments will not only reinforce the highest professional and engineering standards offered to our customers but the roles represented by Maria and Lorraine also represent important milestones in the implementation of Walter GB’s sales strategy.”
