US firm Haas Automation issues statement saying operations and deliveries continuing globally

Official statement:

"As part of the critical manufacturing sector, Haas Automation is continuing our operations to support our customers. We are building and shipping machines and spare parts. Our warehouses in the U.S., Europe, and Asia are all operational, and we have plans to keep them fully stocked. We know many of you in the machine shop community are carrying on, as well. We all are looking for guidance in these difficult times, so we wanted to share the actions we’re taking to mitigate the risk of current events affecting our community.

Please know that the health and safety of our employees, their families, and our community are critical to us, and we know that our customers feel the same.

Below are the actions we have taken in our factory. As a manufacturer yourself, you may find some of these actions useful in your own facility.

✓ Installed a thermal scanner to measure the temperature of all persons entering the facility

✓ Closed all break rooms, removed communal microwaves, and closed kitchen areas

✓ Mandated maintaining a social distance of 6 feet between people

✓ Left doors open to reduce surface contact

✓ Installed additional hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the facility.
✓ Significantly increased cleaning of the factory (lunch rooms, stair rails, door handles, etc.)
✓ Eliminated most visitors to the factory
✓ Eliminated non-critical employee company travel

✓ Provided additional emergency leave benefits for employees
