Unicut Precision promoting one-hit production at MACH 2010

Unicut Precision, the precision machining subcontractor, will be demonstrating its "one-hit" single cycle machining and subassembly capability, within the BTMA Pavilion, stand 5717, in Hall 5 of MACH 2010.

Unicut has started the year winning important orders and long term contracts, with their ability to produce components with high levels of efficiency, due to a policy of continuous investment and not keeping machines older than five years. "We have just disposed of three machines that have come of age and so will use the stand over the week as the ideal platform to check out the latest developments and hope to place orders at the show for machines, inspection, software and tooling," said managing director Jason Nicholson. Unicut's production shop is currently equipped with 21 Citizen CNC sliding head turn-mill centres, with up to 32 mm diameter capacity, and three Miyano multi-axis fixed head turning centres, with up to 64 mm diameter capacity. At the Unicut stand within the Pavilion, visitors will be able to view one of the latest Citizen sliding head machines in action and gain an appreciation of the installed OGP Smartscope non-contact, one-hit measuring technology, used at the Welwyn Garden City factory. Visitors will also have the chance to prove themselves in a 'one-hit' putting challenge.
