Tube bending tours with bending machine manufacturer Unison

1 min read

Unison, the tube bending machine manufacturer, has announced tours of engineering companies that will demonstrate the productivity benefits of servomotor controlled tube bending machines.

Scheduled for February, March, May and July, each event will include visits to two advanced tube bending machine users, plus a tour of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC), and a technical tube bending workshop at Unison's facility. The next tour will include a visit to Ilkley-based Olicana Products, a large metalworking sub-contractor which operates extensively in the furniture marketplace. It will allow users to see several different types of all-electric tube benders, including twin head machines and a fully automated 'lights out' cell for high volume production runs, that performs automatic tube loading, bending, punching and offloading. "All-electric, servomotor-controlled bending offers a range of advantages compared with traditional hydraulically-powered machinery" says Unison's Alan Pickering. "These tours are designed to demonstrate their capability first-hand" For more information email shonal@unisonltd.com or visit www.unisonltd.com/tour.html.
