Trumpf holds a successful UK open house as revenue soars

Another successful open house took place at Trumpf in Luton on the 12-13 July 2023 where the company opened the doors to their customers so they could see the latest machine tool and laser technology solutions.

As in previous years, Trumpf notes that this year is proof of the vital need to meet face to face with customers and once again. Trumpf was "delighted" with the number of visitors that walked through the door.

A total of 170 visitors were welcomed over the two days and the feedback has been extremely positive with many customers taking the time to say what a great show, great atmosphere, impressive day it had been.  Several orders were completed during the two days of open house which made it another successful event.

During the day visitors had the opportunity to choose among various sessions to discuss topics, the highlights that were showcased were EdgeLine Bevel for automatically creating chamfers while laser cutting, automated welding and the latest sheet metal software developments with Trumpf OSEON.

There was prime opportunity to see the latest laser cutting, punching, welding, bending and laser marking technology live in action with technical experts on hand to talk face to face with our customers.

There were also celebrations in Germany and globally with Trumpf headquarters having reached an extraordinary milestone of 100 years. 

Trumpf said it looks forward to welcoming their customers to the open house in the summer of 2024.

Meanwhile, in its centennial year, the Trumpf Group as a whole said generated considerable revenue growth. Based on preliminary calculations, revenue in the fiscal year 2022/23 (balance sheet date 30 June, 2023) came in at 5.4 billion euros (fiscal year 2021/22: 4.2 billion euros).

In the domestic market of Germany, revenue rose sharply by more than 30% to some 770 million euros (previous year: 589 million euros). In the US, Trumpf continued the strong growth of the previous year, posting revenue of some 900 million euros (previous year: 649 million euros). The strongest Asian market was China with revenue of some 600 million euros (previous year: 575 million euros).

Furthermore, the German high-tech company said it is starting the new fiscal year with a bulging order book: order intake once again surpassed the five-billion-euro mark at 5.1 billion euros, but were down by some 9% on the peak level of the previous year. (Fiscal year 2021/22: 5.6 billion euros).
