A privately-owned company headquartered in Smethwick, West Midlands, £84m turnover* Hadley Group is a global cold rollforming manufacturing business with manufacturing facilities in Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, and boasts more than 700 employees worldwide.
Ben Towe will continue to drive the company’s growth strategy, while Dr Michael Castellucci will take the reign as group engineering director responsible for all technical and operational functions. Jonathan Jaggar continues as group sales director and Richard Neale as group finance director.
Castellucci was instrumental in the development of Hadley Group’s patented UltraSTEEL process – a groundbreaking steel strengthening technology. This delivers 20% more strength and a similar reduction in raw materials.
Last month, Hadley Group acquired Wolverhampton-based cold rollformed sections producer EWS (Manufacturing), a company that produces in excess of 25 million metres of cold rollformed sections annually and is the market leader in window and door steel reinforcement, with core strengths in other construction market products.
The company is also on the expansion path in the UK, having earlier in the year acquired the Fire Training Centre next to its factory at Gaitskell Way, Smethwick. This will provide the opportunity for the company to create a 12-acre flagship manufacturing site “yielding significant manufacturing output gains while greatly increasing our size and flexibility to the market”.
This year, Hadley Group has been named 164 in the ninth annual Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 in June and was also named in the Grant Thornton Top Track 250 in March.
Stewart Towe is now executive group chairman
