Tooling specialist Walter adds to iPhone Apps

Tooling specialist Walter GB of Bromsgrove has extended its library of iPhone Applications with the new Walter Tool Guide, for cutting tool selection, and Walter Feeds & Speeds, for the precise cutting technology.
Using the Walter Tool Guide App, users can find the ideal tool (from the Walter, Titex and Prototyp ranges) for a required machining task and immediately order it online – simply by entering either machining data or a specific tool code. Detailed 2D and 3D representations of the tool can be viewed and the datasheet can be emailed. After the order is placed, a receipt is sent direct to the user's iPhone.
With Walter Feeds & Speeds, users can determine values for machining data, after first selecting turning, drilling or milling, then the required operation, such as face milling. Once material-to-be-machined has been selected, along with tool type and tool material, the App will determine starting values for machining.
Like Walter's existing Tool Scout and Tools & More Apps, the new Apps can be obtained for free via the Walter website (www.walter-tools.com) or from the Apple App Store.
