Nadine Bishop has been promoted to the role of managing director at subcontractor Precise Component Manufacture Ltd (PCML), effective 1 August

A chartered accountant who worked her way up through the ranks at Hotpoint and ASDA, Bishop joined PCML in 2015 as a finance administrator before becoming group finance director.

PCML is a leading, precision engineering and manufacturing partner in the life sciences, digital imaging, scientific testing and other high-growth sectors. Gavin Goates, CEO and founder of the PCML Group of companies, explains the new management structure.

“The Group has grown extensively over the past two years and my role has changed, which has prompted us to rethink the way the company is led.

“UK manufacturing continues to evolve; these are challenging times and my task will be to ensure PCML is always ready to make the most of new opportunities. Nadine’s appointment allows me to focus more on strategy and investment. Her style of dynamic, strong leadership, as well as her financial insight is just what`s needed for the next phase of our growth.”

Founded 18-years ago, PCML now has 170 employees across four sites in Cambridgeshire, with a total capacity of 250,000 machine hours.

Bishop says of her appointment: “I’m delighted to take on this role at such an exciting time for PCML. The company has a very special mix of engineering capability, underpinned and enabled by sophisticated, proprietary software and IT systems. I believe we have a unique business model and it will be a pleasure to lead such a talented team of people as we invest, grow and seek new opportunities.”
