Portsmouth-based subcontractor Amdale has secured additional, adjoining premises, which are currently undergoing refurbishment and are expected to be ready for use in late November.

The move was prompted by the high demand for more intricate and demanding 5-axis machining, which has seen the company invest in two additional 5-axis machining centres, together with an additional CMM to add to its quality inspection department. "The new premise is an exciting move forward for Amdale," said managing director Martin Koerner. " We have seen our busiest year since opening in 1988, and we are now looking to invest further into facilities and machinery as we grow our business within the next three years. It is encouraging to see an engineering company growing in the current economic climate and we look forward to the future." Amdale is also undergoing a re-brand, which sees the company promoting themselves as an innovative and dynamic company, providing excellence in complex precision engineering. The re-brand includes the development of the logo and a website, which will enable Amdale to showcase its engineering expertise and communicate more effectively with customers.
