Subcon Laser celebrates 21 years at the laser cutting edge

1 min read

Founded in 1989 by the husband and wife team Bill and Christine Brown, Subcon Laser Cutting has grown from a small unit on a business park to a modern manufacturing facility on the Bermuda Industrial Estate in Nuneaton with a multi-million pound turnover and celebrating its 21st anniversary.

The company's longevity has spanned two recessions and Subcon Laser believes customer service is at the heart of its success and survival. Staff with an average of 12 years of experience, coupled with deep fundamental product knowledge, means customer service has become engrained into the company's philosophy. Prior to starting his laser cutting business Mr Brown was himself a service engineer for a well known laser machine manufacturer, so he could dismantle a laser cutting system and then rebuild it from scratch. It's this experience and the technical knowledge that 21 years of laser cutting all types of materials from wood to stainless steel, acrylic to armour plate can bring that has established Subcon Laser in its market. During its 21 year journey it has also picked up numerous awards including "Small Business of the Year" and "Best Subcontractor" at the International Subcontracting Industry Awards. Subcon Laser will celebrate its 21st birthday by hosting a gala open day, when customers past and present will be invited to view the advancements in laser technology.
