Starrett plans to be in two places at once at MACH (stands 5950 and 4314)

With stands in each MACH hall, LS Starrett will show off both aspects of its offering to the manufacturing industry.

In the metrology zone (stand 5950), Starrett is showing the latest enhancement to its range of optical profile projectors and video measuring systems, including the introduction of LED lighting on all its profile projectors. Benefits from this change include an improvement to the quality of light, a predicted increase in service intervals from one year to approximately five years as a result of the change in bulb type, and a reduction in energy consumption, creating considerable savings in energy costs over the life of the projector. In addition, the heat generated by the LED bulb is a small fraction of that generated by a traditional bulb, making the projector much cooler, particularly after a period of continuous use.

In Hall 4’s band saw section, LS Starett is exhibiting the S4240 semi automatic band saw machine. It has a cutting capacity of 300 mm by 300 mm and will mitre cut up to 75o and -45o. Its rigid construction ensures that this machine can offer a smooth, controlled cutting speed with hydraulic feed pressure. All the machines on the stand will be operational, conducting cutting demonstrations throughout the course of the exhibition.

Also, Starrett Advanz MC5 and MC7 are the latest additions to the Starrett carbide-tipped band saw blade range, and feature two unique tooth profiles that form either five or seven chips. Advanz MC5 is intended for tool steels, Inconel and titanium and MC5 is for automotive aluminium casting blocks, cast iron, bronze and copper.

Finally, another new product to the bandsaw range is the S1005 portable machine.
