For the first time ever, Simtek is presenting a range of tools with 3D-lasered chip forming geometries at AMB in Stuttgart from 10-14 September, where it will be located in Hall 3, Stand C36.

After successful testing inhouse and with customers, lasering the chip forming geometry proved to be a sustainably improve for production processes in metalworking and increase process reliability:

These include

  1. Optimum chip control even under difficult conditions, e.g. with long-chipping materials
  2. Economical implementation of individual chip forming geometries according to process requirements
  3. Reliable application of multidirectional cutting combination tools (plunch with opening profile), and tools with high profiling cutting depths
  4. Insertion of circumferential chip forming geometries around the entire cutting edge with simultaneously optimized rake angles
  5. Ideal for machining processes in the automotive, aerospace and medical industries

A comprehensive selection of grooving, longitudinal turning (face grooving) and boring tools with 3D cutting geometries will be on display at the stand.
