Says John Schwarz, managing director, RK International Machine Tools:“Dick has been a major part of the team at RK International Machine Tools Limited and has greatly contributed to its growth over the years. Following his request to reduce his work commitments and responsibilities effective from March 2018, this is a perfect time to enhance Simon’s role within the business. Dick will remain very active within the business as a director, and the company’s new structure will also allow Dick to focus on expanding RK International’s grinding product portfolio, prior to taking retirement in 2020.”
Simon Rood has worked closely with the management team since joining RK International Machine Tools in February 2010 and has demonstrated his strong market awareness and people skills and commitment to the company which the directors feel are essential to the new position. Reporting directly to John Schwarz, Rood’s new role will supervise the efforts of the management team and be responsible for directing their efforts, taking RK International Machine Tools into 2020 and beyond. A new sales manager will be recruited to take on Simon’s previous responsibilities within the company.
