Siemens Sinumerik portfolio for CNCs

Siemens will be demonstrating how productivity, flexibility and safety can be increased in CNC production with an array of additions to its Sinumerik portfolio at MACH 2014 (Birmingham NEC, 7-11 April).

On Stand 5770 in Hall 5, Siemens will be extending its preparations for Industry 4.0 to include the machine tool building industry with a series of integrated solutions. Siemens and Kuka Roboter GmbH announced their co-operation at EMO in Hanover last September. With this in mind, Siemens will be demonstrating the Kuka KR16 with Sinumerik 840D at MACH. The aim of the co-operation is to better serve industries with high end automation requirements in loading and machining. With this shared development, Siemens says that customers will have access to new products and solutions that are co-ordinated optimally over their entire life cycle, from design, to manufacturing simulation, to engineering and production shop level. Visitors to the stand will be able to see CNCs being demonstrated live on an XYZ CT52 LTY and a Mazak Variaxis i500 and discover advantages such as easy-to-use graphic-assist programming with 3D simulation and increased flexibility, says Siemens. In addition, Siemens PLM will showcase the latest offerings from its portfolio including NX CAM, and simulation for robotics. This includes the simulation and offline programming of the Kuka KR16/Sinumerik 840D system.
