Joining the company in May 2018, Holyome is responsible for supporting customers with a specific interest in gripping systems, robot accessories and PPUs (pick and place units). He brings nearly 40 years of manufacturing experience to the Schunk team, starting his engineering career as an apprentice toolmaker in the Late 70s. Holyome's previous roles include designing, manufacturing and commissioning special purpose and automation machinery, jigs and fixtures, workholding, and production tooling equipment.
With a career that has encompassed solutions provision for sectors from Formula One and aerospace, through to automotive, food processing, packaging and electronics, Schunk says that Holyome will bring a wealth of insight to UK customers.
