Sandvik Coromant catalogue changes format

1 min read

Sandvik Coromant, following extensive customer consultation, has developed a new approach to the way it presents its product and application solutions within its printed and electronic catalogues.

This concept will provide machine operators, purchasers and production engineers/managers with a complete global product range. 'Global' because the new catalogues contain both metric and inch assortment. This meets the demand from increasing numbers of manufacturers who operate multinationally and require access to both systems of measurement, while also expanding the choice of tooling with intermediate sizes. Another big change is the division of the main catalogue into two parts: one for general turning (C-2900:09) including parting, grooving and threading operations, and the other for rotating tool applications (C-2900-10) including milling, drilling and boring. This approach is to better reflect that many machine shops can be 'divided' between turning and rotating operations. The catalogues are available for download from the Sandvik Coromant website, and includes an iPad version. A digital version can be requested on DVD (C-2948:136) that goes one step further with integrated content, where the new main catalogue(s), technical guide, new product brochure and catalogues for deep hole drilling and heavy machining are included. The DVD interactively links movies, animations and additional support to the required area of interest. The digital version will be updated every year, with the printed version every second year.
