RP Technologies invests £120,000, employs more, slashing lead times

Prototype and production tooling and plastic injection moulding company RP Technologies has invested £120,000 to increase its toolroom and injection moulding capacity.

The investment at the Kingswinford-based company takes in a Hurco VMX30i CNC CNC machining centre and a Borche 120 tonne injection moulding machine, while staff numbers are to be boosted to with an additional four employees, a tool design engineer, two injection moulding operators and a trainee CAD/CAM engineer. Improved lead times will result, says the company.

RP Technologies is forecasting further investment later this year and plans to purchase additional injection moulding machines, a mould flow analysis package and software to streamline its order processing systems. It also has plans to employ additional sales, engineering and manufacturing staff.
