Robin Matthews appointed service manager, Geo Kingsbury Machine Tools
Robin Matthews, newly appointed service manager at Geo Kingsbury Machine Tools, is now the point of contact for users in Britain and Ireland of Index and Traub CNC lathes, as well as Hermle, SHW and F Zimmermann machining centres that require service or repair.
Following an apprenticeship as an electronics maintenance technician at Aerostructures Hamble (then BAe Hamble), Robin continued to work there for nearly 10 years, as part of a team maintaining all of the CNC plant. He subsequently worked for a machine tool company as a specialist in electrical and electronic installation, fault diagnosis and repair.
Robin holds a BSc in industrial systems technology and a BTEC HNC in electronic engineering, in addition to which he has completed numerous specific courses covering controls, drives and feedback systems.
