Starrag Group company Toolroom Technology Ltd (TTL) is to appoint a new managing director, with Paul Walton handing over the reins to TTL's long-standing technical manager Rob Pope. Mr Walton has been at the helm for 27 years.

With both the commercial acumen and hands-on-experience the new role requires, Mr Pope takes up the position officially from the 1 January 2014. The change of leadership at TTL brings with it additional restructuring, including the recruitment of further technical, marketing and project management resources, to help meet increased demand for TTL's products and services. Comments Mr Walton: "After almost 27 years as the head of TTL, the time has come to move on. I will leave behind an amazing team, which collectively has amassed huge experience in high-technology manufacturing disciplines. Given the highly specialised nature of our business, I think we are fortunate to have been able to recruit my replacement from within the existing team, and I am delighted to announce Rob Pope as my successor." TTL - a Starrag Group company - has been at the forefront of advanced adaptive machining technology for 25 years. Its innovative software-based machining technology products are world-renowned in the gas turbine component manufacturing and MRO markets. TTL is also Siemens' chosen UK CAM partner, specialising in NX-CAM products and services.
