Radan expands development and business management activities

Kris Nuttall moves up to manage the development team, while Hozy Bhopalwala takes on the newly-created role of Radan business manager for India. Radan general manager Chris Aston says: "We've extended the development manager post to include logistics and bending, consolidating the development teams in three countries." Kris Nuttall is responsible for all developers at the Bath office in the UK, who work on 2D and 3D CAD, plus the Radpunch, Radprofile and Radcombi products for sheetmetal cutting. The role will also involve working with the French and Dutch teams, developing the Radan Logistics suite, including Radquote, Radimport, Radmanager and Radlink, along with the Radbend pressbrake software. After joining Radan in 1998 with an Electronic Engineering degree, he worked on post-processors before moving into development. His most recent role has been beta test manager, finding beta test sites and liaising with customers ahead of the recent release of Radan 2014. "There are some exciting enhancements in Radan 2014, such as Order mode Simulation, Nest Project Workflow, 3D Workflow and a Pattern splitter window, and I'm looking forward to working with the development team to create even greater enhancements for 2015," Mr Nuttall offers. Says Mr Aston: "Kris's wide experience of the technical side of Radan – installation, support, post processors and development – makes him the ideal person for this role." Hozy Bhopalwala has been a business development executive in India for two years, where his role involved working with other Vero products. Mr Aston explains: "This new position is dedicated entirely to Radan, and Hozy will be setting up relationships with machine tool manufacturers and identifying potential corporate customers in other parts of the world." Says Mr Bhopalwala: "Radan has created a real niche in India, catering mainly for contractors, the automotive sector and kitchen manufacturers. I'm looking forward to being a part of this growing market." He has a B.E. (Bachelor Engineering – Production) and also completed an MBA - Operations and Logistics - at Cardiff University. As well as undergoing full training on all Radan modules, he also spent six months working on the Radan helpdesk in the UK. Concludes Mr Aston: "These are both exciting new roles within the Radan team, and the appointments demonstrate our commitment to promoting from within."
