Production of Arc's exclusive Vector electric motorcycle has begun in Coventry and CEO and founder Mark Truman said the company shipped bike ‘number one’ a few weeks ago.

Instead of conventional front forks, the motorcycle features unique hub-centre steering. It is powered by the company’s own 399V battery and class leading electric motor which produces 850 newton-meters of torque, propelling the bike to 60mph in 3.1 seconds and on to a limited top speed of 125mph.

Mark formerly worked for Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) where he first began developing the bike as a prototype for their skunk works division. JLR considered producing the motorcycle themselves but instead invested a 15% seed share in the business, which has been self-funded since 2020.

“The Vector has had the very best people involved and has been designed in collaboration with a former MotoGP engineer and a designer of F1 carbon tubs for Ferrari,” explained Mark Truman.

The bike is made-to-measure with components including handlebars manufactured to fit each customer. Fifteen bikes have been sold with production now in full swing.

The Vector retails at £90,000 plus taxes. Arc are currently looking to raise £10m to scale the business, increase production and develop new models.
