Polish CNC profiling brand Kimla reaches UK

Yorkshire-based profiling service company MBA Engineering has become the UK distributor of Kimla CNC laser and waterjet cutting machinery.

Through MBA, customers will have access to some of the most advanced technology on the market, including Kimla fibre laser cutting machines. There are three ranges: Finecut (for thin sheets), Flashcut (flexible control system) and Powercut (powerful cutting).

Although new to the UK market, Kimla has over 16 years’ experience in the design and production of advanced laser and waterjet cutting machinery. Its innovative designs achieve industry-leading performance and are said to be competitively priced with comparable machines in the UK. Key features include the ultra-reliable IPG solid state laser sources (from 2kW – 8kW power) supported by IPG UK, Precitec Pro cutting heads specifically designed for fibre lasers, and the use of linear drives. These features coupled with Kimla’s control system allow for unparalleled acceleration and cutting speeds whilst cutting down on maintenance and servicing requirements. Kimla offers a tailored CADCAM and nesting package as standard.

Kimla machines integrate a printing head to mark details before cutting, saving a manual process after the cutting process. MBA Engineering says that this is a unique feature of Kimla's.

New machines are already running in production in the UK with both subcontractors and OEM users.

MBA Engineering, established in 2009 to offer support to Bystronic laser users, offers breakdown assistance, preventative maintenance, customer training, machine moves and installations.
