Overseas exhibitors better supported
The EIA has been successful in securing funding from UK Trade & Investment for a number of overseas exhibitions taking place during 2009/10.
The rules and regulations have also been relaxed to encourage more companies to export.
Eligible UK SME companies exhibiting receive a £1,000 grant for shows in Europe and £1,400 grant for shows in the rest of the world. Companies who have used up their grants in the past are now eligible to receive up to six subsidies from 1st April 2009 onwards.

* MTA Malaysia - Machine Tool, Metal Working, Welding, Manufacturing Machinery and Equipment Exhibition - 6 to10 May 2009, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
* MTA Vietnam - Machine Tool, Metal Working, Welding, Manufacturing Machinery and Equipment Exhibition - 8 to 11 July 2009, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
