CEO of OnRobot, Enrico Krog Iversen, sees winning as recognition from an industry ready to embrace solutions that break down barriers to automation. “With One System we’ve created a single robotic solution that speeds up deployment, making it easy, fast and cost effective for manufacturers to build collaborative applications.”
The unified interface allows the full suite of OnRobot tools to work out-of-the-box with collaborative and light industrial robots from Universal Robots, Kuka, FANUC, Doosan, Techman, Yaskawa, Mitsubishi, Kawasaki, Hanwha and Nachi, with more robot brands coming soon. All OnRobot products now have a unified mechanical and communications interface based on the OnRobot Quick Changer, which has become an integrated part of all OnRobot products.
An additional OnRobot Dual Quick Changer incorporates these same capabilities, while allowing the use of two tools in one cycle – mixing and matching to suit application needs and maximising robot utilisation. In so doing, the potential to release workers from manual “dull, dirty and dangerous tasks” is increased.
OnRobot will be presented with the award at a ceremony in Santa Clara, California, on 9 December.
