Oelheld’s return to MACH generates sales

Making its return to MACH after a 10-year absence proved a well invested move for Oelheld.

Specialists in the provision of high-end oils for grinding and EDM processes, Oelheld introduced its latest generation of high-performance SintoGrind grinding fluids, with, the new GTL (Gas to Oil) base oil received well.

Alongside the extensive fluid solutions was the Vomat FA240 fully integrated filtration and cooling system for fluid management, which generated a high number of enquiries with one system being sold off-the-stand to Mercian Cutting Tools.

Discussing the purchase, Mercian Cutting Tools director Allan Brown says: “We are very pleased with the Vomat purchase. We used to get size variations due to temperatures external to the machine tool. For example, if the workshop was relatively cold, a batch of 100 10mm tools that would run unmanned overnight would see up to 50% of tools require re-working as they would be above the nominal dimensions. The checking and re-working used to be a very time consuming process. Now, the Vomat system has eradicated this deviation and all our tools are manufactured to the exact dimensions with no re-working.”

Commenting upon the sale at MACH, Oelheld managing director Peter Mangan adds: “As well as the sale at MACH, we received a high level of enquiries at the show for the Vomat system. This was also true of the complete range of Oelheld SintoGrind fluids and the recently added brand of Indusa air filtration, oil mist and dust extraction systems that we introduced to the UK for the first time at MACH.

“Overall, the exhibition was a great platform to re-affirm our position in the UK as the premier supplier of coolant and fluid products. It was also an ideal launch pad for the Vomat and Indusa brands.”
