Norelem to highlight importance of automated parts at MACH

Standard components specialist, Norelem, will use MACH 2020 (Birmingham NEC, 20-24 April) to showcase a new range of products, including ball transfer chains, guide rails, precision three-jaw chucks and gauge holders. The company’s team of technical automation experts will be on Stand 620 in Hall 6 to offer advice and guidance, as well as exchange new ideas on the future of automated manufacturing technologies.

“Automation is the biggest trend and challenge facing the engineering industry today, particularly for SME manufacturers,” says Marcus Schneck, CEO of Norelem. “Automating their factory processes may be a goal, but high capital costs can often mean it just remains a pipe dream, instead of reality.

“We’re at MACH to show it doesn’t have to be this way,” he continues. “With standard parts, many component feeds or handling applications can be automated, without breaking the bank.”

Approaching automation can be a daunting task for many manufacturing operations, with costs, complexity and concerns over workforce morale all big factors to consider. With these thoughts in mind, the Norelem Academy will feature on the company’s stand this year.

Norelem Academy is the company’s dedicated facility for training and talent development, supporting customers and students with projects, and bridging skills gaps. The facility is also where many students gain their first professional project experience and understand engineering applications outside of the academic environment.

“Our intention at MACH is to offer technical advice, exchange ideas and help solve engineering challenges through standard components,” concludes Schneck.
