New young talent joins the CNC Repair team

Despite the global challenges that many businesses are currently facing, Lincolnshire based CNC Repair (UK) Limited in Bourne is fulfilling the growing demand for its services by expanding its expert engineering team with the appointment of Casey Gilbert.

The engineering company specialises in providing CNC machine servicing and repairs to leading OEM customers especially within the major automotive and Tier 1 supply chain.

Casey, aged 21 joins the company from Siemens Energy Turbo machinery in Lincoln where he undertook a four-year apprenticeship in 2021 having joined Siemens from school aged 16. Having become a maintenance fitter in the Siemen’s factory on completing his apprenticeship, he developed his understanding of CNC machines and now brings to the CNC Repair team some additional up-to-date knowledge around the repair and maintenance of CNC machinery.

Lincoln born and based Casey combines a love of cars and motorcycles with his work. “I really enjoy working on cars and motorbikes in my spare time, as well as riding motorbikes and cycling to keep fit.” he commented, “I believe that the skills I’ve learned through both work and my hobbies have a lot of cross over between them making me more multi-skilled. I’m really excited to be joining the team and I’m looking forward to becoming more confident in my abilities as I continue to learn from the other team members’ experience.”

The continued expansion of the maintenance team, with the addition of young talent such as Casey, will benefit customers by supporting already speedy response times thus keeping downtime to a minimum and enabling machinery to be serviced and maintained for customers in a planned and timely manner.
