Alain Reynvoet is the new managing director of Brussels-based Haas Automation Europe.

Mr Reynvoet joined HAE on 1 October, 2008, as sales director, and has led the company's sales team and its continent-wide network of Haas Factory Outlets (HFOs) through challenging economic conditions. Over the past three years, he has enlarged and improved the company's distributor base and has overseen the introduction of many new and redesigned Haas CNC machine tools. He will take over from Peter Zierhut, who returns to the Haas Automation global headquarters, in Oxnard, California. "Since joining HAE, Alain has demonstrated excellent sales and leadership skills, which makes him our first choice for the role of managing director," said Mr Zierhut. "HAE goes from strength-to-strength, largely because of our continued investment in the right people, products and infrastructure. We're currently recruiting sales and service engineers, expanding our HFO network and the Haas Technical Education Centre (HTEC) programme. Alain is assuming his new role during a very exciting period for the company and I wish him every success." Mr Reynvoet is a Belgian national and has worked in the advanced manufacturing technology sector since 1989. He has a Masters Degree in science and a wealth of professional sales and management training. Mr Zierhut will continue as part of the senior management team at HAE, and will also return to his various executive roles at Haas Automation Inc, including managing the global HTEC programme and overseeing development of the company's business in Africa and the Middle East. [] Note: HAE is the European organisation that manages all HFOs in Europe, with the exception of the UK where Haas Automation Ltd operate independently of HAE
