Recently-appointed northern England Ajax dealer Noon Machinery Services, based in Stockport, is holding an Open House on 12-13 May.

The event will demonstrate the potential of a range of Ajax CNC and manual machine tools, including the Ajax AJV550 vertical machining centre and the AJEV180 turning centre.
The AJV550 machining centre offers a 700 by 400 mm table, 16 position ATC and incorporates the brand new Heidenhain 320 CNC control system.

For turned parts, the new Ajax Evolution AJEV180 has a swing of 360 mm with 750 mm or 1,000 mm between centres and incorporates a Fanuc 0i touch-screen conversational control to write programs.

Alongside these machines will be a selection of other CNC and conventional lathes, turret mills and workshop machinery.

Also attending the event will be Heidenhain. Its engineers will be available to present its range of software and control packages that will include the latest version of its educational software.

Commenting upon the event, Ajax Machine Tools sales manager Ian Fenton says: "The event will be a great opportunity for us to establish our position in the region by showing our broad spectrum of machine tools. Combining our machines with the impeccable reputation Noon Machinery has for service, support and engineering expertise will highlight why the partnership between Ajax Machine Tools and Noon Machinery can benefit manufacturers in the region. Ajax Machine Tools is renowned for its machine building expertise, so if a customer views a machine and it doesn't have the desired specification, our engineers can cost effectively tailor a machine to the customers' requirements."
