3D optical measurement company Physical Digital welcomes Steve Fletcher as business development manager, a newly-created role at the expanding firm, to service clients across high-value sectors such as aerospace, automotive, motorsport and marine.

Since 2005, Physical Digital has been providing 3D measurement services to a wide variety of clients from many industry sectors utilising GOM (Gesellschaft für Optische Messtechnik) 3D optical scanning systems.

Fletcher, who trained as a toolmaker at Rolls-Royce, says: “I’m excited to be involved with a diverse range of industries again. I enjoy the challenge of helping to develop solutions around clients’ problems, which requires us to think outside the box and bring applications from other industry sectors.”

He will also be helping customers take advantage of the UK’s first GOM ScanBox 5120 automated 3D measurement facility that provides engineering and manufacturing companies with access to world-class metrology services without the need for capital investment.

Physical Digital also offers automotive benchmarking services, turbine blade inspection, digital assembly and aerodynamic testing, as well as providing dent and buckle reports and deformation measurement, among many other services.
