New name for CenitDesktop as it becomes Desktop Engineering, again
Desktop Engineering is the new name for CenitDesktop. The company has reverted to its original title following the recent refocusing of the IBM/Dassault distribution channel.
“Recent changes in the structure of the PLM supply chain and our role within it have resulted in Desktop Engineering becoming a Dassault Systemes value added reseller (VAR), as well as an IBM PLM software agent," said Desktop Engineering (DTE) managing director Geoff Haines. "This new situation has lead to increased business opportunities and markets for our PLM software and services.
“We retain our close links to Cenit AG, our previous owners, by distributing and supporting their manufacturing software. This enables us to capitalise on the new situation by providing current and future customers with levels of service that match their engineering and business needs.”
Customers include Black cab maker LTI.
