The first Manufacturing & Engineering North East event in Newcastle was an unprecedented success, bringing more than 1300 engineering and manufacturing professionals into the heart of the Northern Powerhouse.  From 8th – 9th July the Radio Metro Arena played host to more than 90 leading machinery, supply chain and  design engineering exhibitors alongside high level conference sessions and practical workshops.

This two-day event was originally conceived to specifically address the needs of the region, which excels in industrial innovation. Manufacturing & Engineering will become an annual event and will continue to bring the best of British design engineering and manufacturing talent to the region.

"Without doubt the North East has a rich industrial heritage but Manufacturing & Engineering North East is about now and about driving innovation and growth for the future," commented Ed Tranter, managing director for organiser Mark Allen Exhibitions. "2015 was a success by every measure, however in 2016 Manufacturing & Engineering will be even better. Seventy percent of this year's exhibitors have already rebooked, we have a waiting list for further stand space and we have received a number of requests from exciting conference speakers."

He continued, "We have started planning for next year's show and we are looking forward to bringing the Manufacturing & Engineering buzz back to Newcastle in 2016."

The 2016 edition of Manufacturing & Engineering North East will run from 6th – 7th July at Radio Metro Arena, Newcastle.

Manufacturing & Engineering North East is delivered in association with Machinery, Eureka and Works Management magazines. Leading trade bodies and institutions, including the Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS), North East LEP, Gateshead & Newcastle Inward Investment, Advanced Manufacturing Forum and the Institution of Engineering Designers (IED) supported the event along with headline sponsors, Fanuc and Lombard.
