Steve Sylvester has been appointed managing director of Coventry-based Agie Charmilles.
Steve Sylvester has been appointed managing director of Coventry-based Agie Charmilles.
Mr Sylvester take responsibility for all Agie Charmilles’ operations in the UK and Ireland.
The position vacated when previous managing director Tony Steels left to head up GF AgieCharmilles’ manufacturing operations in Beijing, China.
He joins Agie Charmilles from industrial automation solutions provider Rockwell Automation where he was employed as industry sales manager responsible for business growth and development across Europe, Africa and The Middle East. Mr Sylvester is trained as an electrical engineer. He is 45 years of age and lives in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.
His sales career with Rockwell Automation spans 16 years, and includes positions as regional sales and service manager for Central and Eastern Europe; regional sales manager UK (south); UK systems and service manager and UK OEM manager.
