New bandsaw blade proves its mettle

The blade is also said to be ideal blade for customers using manual, ‘pull down’ bandsaw machines where the uncontrolled nature of the feed rate can easily lead to tooth strippage. Tests to date have shown: * A decorative railing manufacture in the South of the UK who was changing band saw blades every three days is now not changing them until three and four weeks have passed; * A door manufacturer in the North of England cutting very thin interrupted sections was changing blade approximately once a week has boosted blade life to around nine weeks; * A Scottish Engineering firm cutting pipe and structural steels tried a range of blades from different manufacturers in an attempt to get around persistent problems with tooth strippage. All the company’s bandsaw machines now run Versatix MP and no further problems with tooth strippage are reported.
