Nederman acquires Arboga-Darenth

Sweden-headquartered Nederman has acquired fellow Swedish company Arboga-Darenth.

Arboga-Darenth manufactures and markets products and systems handle, transport and recycle metal waste and cutting fluids. Arboga-Darenth has its head office in Arboga, Sweden and has around 45 employees. The company has production units in Sweden and the UK. Sales are made via the company’s own sales offices in Sweden, France and the UK, and via distributors on a further 30 markets. Arboga-Darenth reported sales of SEK 75 million (£6.4 million) in 2007. Nederman makes and markets vacuum extraction technology for use in such areas as welding fume/dust extraction. Arboga-Darenth’s customers in the metal processing industries fall within Nederman’s Extraction & Filter Systems business area. Nederman group had sales of over SEK1 billion (£85 million) last year and employs some 600. Arboga-Darenth’s current owner, Håkan Bråtegren, will remain in the business after the sale. Sven Kristensson, CEO Nederman Holding AB, said: ”This acquisition is in line with Nederman’s strategy of growth within existing customer segments. It enables us to offer existing customers a wider range within the working environment sector. The metal processing industry is a core segment for Nederman. Arboga-Darenth gives Nederman a number of well-established products and systems that complement our existing range in an excellent way.”
