Assisting manufacturers in bringing their operations in line with the Industry 4.0 philosophy of smart production, Hexagon’s solutions support data-driven factories. The company’s software suites mesh seamlessly with each other to harness information that improves processes, from design and engineering, through to production.
Visitors will be particularly interested in the latest additions to Hexagon’s production software business, NCSIMUL and FASYS. Continuing the company’s ethos of powering a successful digital ecosystem, NCSIMUL manages the complete machining process, from the NC program to the machined part, including automatic G-code reprogramming and simulation. The current release contains a number of important enhancements to both high-end machining verification and the module, which automatically converts CAM and NC programs to different machines.
FASYS, meanwhile, supports the entire manufacturing workflow, from conception to the final product, including design and planning through to NC programming, during tool pre-setting or at the machine, by providing relevant production information and securely integrating all of the systems involved.
Company experts will also be on hand during the show to guide visitors through the range of CADCAM, MRP and MES systems. For instance, visitors to stand 19-600 will see a number of updates in the latest version of Edgecam, including tool-path associativity in the face-mill cycle, extension to the parallel lace tool path and enhanced additive undercutting. In addition, the optional CAD for CAM Edgecam Designer module has now replaced Part Modeler.
The latest release of VISI CADCAM for the mould and die industry enhances progressive die design processes, along with containing enhancements for the Reverse module, while WorkNC 2020.1’s latest ‘roughing with advanced tool form’ technology allows the milling process to deliver more accurate roughing stock, eliminating imprecisions which were characteristic to the traditional parametric tool-path calculation.
MACH visitors will see how Hexagon’s sheet-metal solution, Radan, now allows for an endless nesting workflow, enabling parts for additional jobs to be continually added to the nest, which leads to improved machine and sheet utilisation. This capability means manufacturers can react to changing priorities by simply adding more parts without having to clean up the workspace, so the nesting process, and production, keeps going with no interruption.
Hexagon’s WorkPlan MES solution is designed to support management by automating business processes, providing control from creating quotes and sending order confirmations, through to final invoicing.
Demonstrations of Javelin 2020.1 will look at items of newly introduced and enhanced functionality that have been added to nine areas of the MRP and production control software, including works orders, bill of materials, purchasing, advanced scheduling and traceability.
Finally, updated two-way file flow features in the latest release of WorkXplore, Hexagon’s high-speed CAD viewer and analyser, while printing is easier and more interactive.
