NCMT wins Kaiser boring tools sole agency for UK

"Existing users of the tooling can continue to deal with their current regional resellers, which from now on will be supported by NCMT," explains NCMT director Dave Burley. "We will hold stocks at our Thames Ditton headquarters to ensure prompt deliveries, and are pricing to the distribution network in Sterling rather than Swiss francs, which some users may find more convenient." The appointment of NCMT is a logical consequence of a longstanding, worldwide cooperation between Kaiser and Japanese toolholder and cutting tool manufacturer BIG Daishowa, which involves reciprocal sales agreements in each other's territories and joint ventures in the US and Germany. NCMT has represented BIG in the UK since 1981. Stefan Appenzeller, sales manager of Heinz Kaiser, added: "The choice of NCMT as our sole sales agent in the UK is based on a cordial working relationship over a number of years and a recommendation from BIG Daishowa. "We appreciate the fact that NCMT has a tooling division, as well as a machine tool division, and that the equipment it sells is top-end, such as Makino and Okuma machining centres and Speroni tool presetters."
