NCMT puts on MACH reprise Open House

NCMT's forthcoming Open House at its Middlemarch technical centre near Coventry, to be held on Wednesday, 13 June, is described as a MACH 2012 reprise, with Okuma's Turncutting machining method demonstrated live (video, from minute 4).

The process will be undertaken on one of the Japanese manufacturer's horizontal machining centres. Patented software provides a way of exploiting circular interpolation and spindle orientation to turn tapered bores and outside diameters quickly and accurately. All 'New at MACH' equipment will be on show again, including Okuma's GENOS range of entry-level CNC lathes and machining centres, which made their UK debuts at the Birmingham show in April. Okamoto's latest grinding machines will be in evidence, as well as Speroni tool presetters from Italy, BIG Daishowa toolholders and cutters, Xebec deburring tools, Kaiser precision boring, and NCMT's first ever agency range of workholding equipment from Techni-Grip, USA.
