Three engineers from the Manufacturing Technology Centre's construction and infrastructure team have been shortlisted as 2022 UK Construction Week Role Models.

In recognition of their achievement, senior research engineer Josh Elliot, technology portfolio manager Peter Morgan and advanced research engineer Dorian Lachowicz will be VIP guests at UK Construction Week London 2022. The event, at ExCel London this week is the UK's largest built environment event.

Winners of the UKCW Role Model title will then be announced at UK Construction Week Birmingham at the NEC in October.

The three engineers are based in the MTC's construction and infrastructure team, working on innovations in the construction sector.

The MTC's director of construction and infrastructure Emma Carroll-Walsh said the shortlisting was a great honour for the three engineers and for the MTC.

"We are very proud that three of our people are shortlisted for this prestigious honour. They have been recognised not just for their professionalism and engineering talent, but also for their ability to inspire others and celebrate the opportunities that a career in construction can bring," she said.

The MTC is a leader in developing technology to improve productivity and safety in the construction sector. The centre is a key member of the Construction Innovation Hub – a partnership of experts in manufacturing, digital, building performance standards and construction technology to drive innovation and technological advances in the construction and infrastructure sectors.
