Mollart Engineering took its 40th order for deep hole drilling machines to be installed in China, following the company's attendance at the China International Machine Tool Show (CIMT) in Beijing.
"We were the only UK company to show a machine tool in the British Pavillion and took 120 enquiries over the five days plus the completion of negotiations that led to our winning our 40th machine order against other international suppliers of deep hole machines," says sales director Ian Petitt.
The order is for a DrillSprint machine that will be delivered to produce automotive gearbox layshafts. It has a capacity between 2 and 25 mm diameter, and up to 1,500 mm hole depth, and is available with up to four spindle configurations.
