Deep hole drilling specialist Mollart Engineering has acquired cutting tool firm Bencere.
Mollart Engineering is headquartered at Chessington, Surrey and Bencere at Stratford-upon Avon, Warks. Bencere will continue to operate from Stratford-upon-Avon but will be fully integrated with the Mollart Engineering division.
The acquisition adds a range of hole deburring, recessing, back-facing and burnishing tooling to Mollart’s deep hole drilling portfolio, plus it also adds the capability to design and produce custom made tools within the UK.
“The acquisition of Bencere complements our deep hole machine tool building capability as well as our Botek and Ecoroll tooling operations that are based in Chessington by introducing a range of tooling for ancillary operations,” said Mollart’s managing director Guy Mollart. “With the Botek range, Mollart provides a drilling capability from 0.5 mm to 300 mm diameter and can now offer standard and deep rolling tools for surface finish enhancement as well as deburring, back-facing and the production of internal recesses. We can also incorporate additional operations using custom made tools.”
